Melvyn Bragg grapples with the inconsistencies of mathematics as revealed by the Austrian mathematician Kurt Godel in 1930; a discovery which changed the perception of maths forever. He is joined by Marcus du Sautoy, Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford; John Barrow, Professor of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Cambridge and Gresham Professor of Geometry; and Philip Welch, Professor of Mathematical Logic at the University of Bristol.
